Imogen Tear is an award winning actress best known for her lead role as Alexa in an episode of BBC Kids’/Netflix’s TV series entitled, ‘Creeped Out’ starring Paulino Nunes and Patrick Gallagher. She has a lead role playing Carrie Brownstein’s sister (of ‘Portlandia’ and punk band Sleater-Kinney fame) in her (Carrie Brownstein’s) personal memoir/TV movie entitled, ‘Search and Destroy’ starring Aubrey Peeples, Jessica Hecht and Brad Morris. She played special needs character, Ruby; a series regular in ABC TV’s series entitled, ‘Somewhere Between’ starring Paula Patton, Devon Sawa and JR Bourne. She had a recurring role as ‘Hattie’ in the most popular seasons of Hallmark Channel’s, ‘When Calls The Heart’ starring Erin Krakow and Lori Loughlin. She received multiple nominations and awards for her performances playing Hattie in the series.
Imogen also played Madi in S4 of The CW’s ‘The 100’ starring Eliza Taylor. She played Julia’s Shade in Syfy Channel’s TV series, ‘The Magician’s’ starring Jason Ralph and Stella Maeve. She had one of the title billing lead roles in Hallmark Channel’s TV movie, ‘The Magic Stocking’ starring Bridget Regan and Victor Webster. She received multiple nominations and award for her principal lead role as the young Audrina Adare in the Lifetime TV movie adaption of the best selling book entitled, ‘My Sweet Audrina’ by Virginia C. Andrews starring William Mosley and India Eisley. Moviepilot.com quoted Andrew Neiderman (VC Andrews’ Ghost Writer) as stating, “the film (‘My Sweet Audrina’) is the best out of the five previous V.C. Andrews book/Dollanganger movies”.
Imogen has worked with many other well known and talented actors including: Sarah Lancaster and Brendan Penny (‘Motive’) in Hallmark Channel’s movie ‘Tis The Season for Love’, Dallas Roberts in the pilot episode of ‘Evil Men’ a CBS/USA Network, as well as Louise Portal and Yves Jacques (from Denys Arcand’s, Oscar winning film, ‘Barbarian Invasions’) in a short film entitled, ‘Nephew’.
From a very young age Imogen knew she wanted to become an actor. After two years of begging her parents to enroll her into acting classes they did. There’s been no looking back!
