Bertrand E. Boyd II is a creative writer, spoken word artist, and actor from Miami, FL. Though inspired to write as an adolescent; it wasn’t until the age of 17 that he found his love for the performance aspect of poetry and the spoken word. After hearing a live performance from notable poet, Will “Da Real One” Bell, Boyd dove headfirst into the literary world with Bell as his mentor. His inaugural stage appearance came within that same year at the North Miami Literary Café’. A tribute to his youth and quiet offstage persona, he performed under the moniker, “Da Youngsta”.
