A native to Los Angeles, Hailie Sahar started her career at an early age as a SparKid dancer for the WNBA Sparks. Fast forward to 2018, Hailie will soon be seen in FX’s upcoming drama, Pose, as a series regular.
Hailie’s film debut was in the musical Leave It On the Floor, and she soon snagged her first television credit co-starring alongside Jeffrey Tambor as Adriana in season 3 of Amazon’s Transparent. She was recently seen in USA’s Mr. Robot, and starred in the Off-Broadway production of Charm, opening New York City’s MMC Theater 2017 Fall Season.
Hailie’s love of music landed her the opportunity to perform a live duet with Miss America, Betty Cantrell, at the 2016 TransNation Film Festival, and Hailie’s first music video was released in January 2017. The visual for her song “California Dreams” showcases her creativity, empowerment and overall artistic vision.
Featured as one of Hollywood’s New Rising Talents in OUT Magazine, Hailie has overcome many challenges presented to her as a transgender woman, and was crowned “Miss L.A. Pride” and “Queen U.S.A.” She was honored with an invitation to speak on the HIV/AIDS epidemic at The Ronald Reagan International Trade Center for the 57th Presidential Advisory Council, and continues to contribute to The East LA Women’s Center against Domestic Violence.
