James Parks is an American actor who has worked with distinguished independent film directors Quentin Tarantino, John Sayles, Robert Rodriguez, Kevin Smith, and David Lynch. His career of over twenty years and his love for acting was inspired by his father, veteran actor Michael Parks, and began with classical training and work in Shakespearean theater. He has since worked consistently in film, television and theater, appearing most notably in Quentin Tarantino’s film The Hateful Eight (2015), Kill Bill: Vol. 1 (2003), Amigo (2010), In ascolto (2006), and in episodes of Deadwood (2004) (pilot), True Blood (2008), and a number of other popular TV series. He stars alongside Caroline Goodall in The Elevator: Three Minutes Can Change Your Life (2015), an English-language suspense film shot in Rome by Italian director Massimo Coglitore.
Most recently, James Parks plays Niles Gilbert on the TV series The Son (2017) on AMC, with Pierce Brosnan leading the ensemble.
James is also a writer for film and movie events for television.
