Atlanta native Madison Thompson developed her love for performing from a young age. Now 19 years old, she is starring in season three of Netflix’s fan-favorite show “Ozark.” Thompson plays ‘Erin,’ the 17-year-old daughter of Helen Pierce (Janet McTeer). In addition to Ozark, Madison has appeared in several television series, including recurring roles on “Kevin (Probably) Saves the World” (ABC) and “Shots Fired” (Fox), as a guest star on “NCIS: New Orleans”(CBS), “American Housewife” (ABC) and “Creepshow” (AMC’s Shudder) and additional appearances on “Henry Danger” (Nickelodeon) and “Major Crimes” (TNT) among other shows. Madison began performing at the age of ten in musical theater in a wide range of roles, from “Ariel” in Footloose to “Wendy” in Peter Pan. Madison received a Shuler Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress in 2018 for her role as Wendy.
Aside from acting professionally, Madison is a Presidential Scholar at the University of Southern California. She is in the BCA Program, which will lead to a Business degree in Cinematic Arts. This joint degree allows her to learn about the financial side of the entertainment industry to complement her acting. Thompson is also minoring in Musical Theater and is a member of the Women in Cinema Club at USC. WCC is an all-female group that encourages relationships between different women at the university who are pursuing degrees and careers in the cinematic and entertainment industry.
