Nicole Lyn was born in Brampton, Ontario, Canada to parents Cheryl Gabay and Peter Lyn. Her love for the arts began at 3-years-old, when she started taking dance classes in her hometown. She loved performing so much, she was soon modeling and appearing in Canadian and U.S. national commercials, which led to regular roles on 2 Canadian series (Ramona (1988) and Eric’s World (1990)) by age 12.
Throughout her childhood, Nicole cultivated her passion for acting and dance at both the National Ballet School of Canada and Claude Watson School for the Arts, where she also excelled academically.
At age 14, Nicole knew she would pursue a life in the arts. After taking a 3 year hiatus from acting professionally to attend high school in Mandeville, Jamaica, she did just that. Nicole returned to Canada and landed a leading role on the Fox’s teen sitcom Student Bodies (1997), which ran for 3 seasons. In 2000, Nicole moved to Los Angeles, where she met her husband, actor DulĂ© Hill. The couple married in Montego Bay, Jamaica in 2004.
In addition to her television and film work, Nicole has made a name for herself as DJ Ms. Nix, rocking venues in L.A., NYC and Miami.
