Taylor Black graduated with honors from Columbia University with a degree in Film Studies. She is co-owner of Black Tandem production company whose short film, Helen of Troy (2017) enjoyed a successful festival run highlighted by its international premiere at the Academy Award Eligible Bermuda International Film Festival (2018) and screening at the Chinese Theatre in Hollywood as part of Hollyshorts Film Festival Screening Series (2019).
Taylor began her acting career originating the series regular role of ‘Sydney Harris’ on ABC’s All My Children. As a teen, she competed and won the title of Miss New York Teen USA.
Taylor was recently cast as a supporting lead opposite Samuel L. Jackson, Nicholas Hoult and Anthony Mackie in Apple’s The Banker (2019). This follows her role of Dana in Woody Allen’s, A Rainy Day in New York (2018).
Taylor’s television acting credits include guest star and recurring roles on Spectrum/Sony’s LA’s Finest , FOX’s Lucifer, NBC’s Midnight Texas, CBS’ Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders, Blue Bloods, NYC 22, Person of Interest, and Unforgettable, CW’s Dynasty, Gossip Girl and Cheerleader Death Squad (pilot), NBC’s Law & Order and 30 Rock, MTV’s Hey Girl and One Bad Choice, AMC’s Feed the Beast, Hulu’s: Deadbeat, ABC’s soap operas All My Children and One Life to Live, & etc.
Other film credits include Taylor’s lead roles in LIFETIME Network’s Movie of the Week, Sugar Daddies (starring opposite Emmy Award Winner, Peter Strauss) and Ascent to Hell, as well as supporting roles in ADDicted, Affluenza, Douglas Brown, Sleeping with the Fishes, Wingman, and The Tale of Timmy Two Chins.
Taylor has also starred in Lorne Michael’s digital production venture Above Average, starring in Cool Kids’ Table, Sugar Boy (Once Upon a Love), Congressional Hearings, & Pop Sugar’s Seriously Distracted.
